This website describes many of these Lassie collectibles and memorabilia. This is a fan site and does not intend to infringe on copyrights held by the Weatherwax family, Wrather Corporation, TV Guide, CBS, RBC Entertainment, or anyone else affiliated with Lassie.
Please do NOT copy content from this site, words or images. The items pictured are collectibles I have obtained. Any comments are my own and lists created were a result of many hours of my own time consuming work. I do not know values of items. You can try looking on Ebay to see what they are sold for, or look in a television collectibles book that provides information on prices.
Growing up in Australia in the 1980's and 1990's, I watched Lassie on television - reruns of colour Corey Stuart episodes; a few episodes of The New Lassie; television movies Countdown, Peace is our Profession, Well of Love, and the last part of Lassie: Adventures of Neeka (which was a whole episode, unlike the USA video release of this movie). There were also a few MGM movies, Lassie's Great Adventure and the 1994 movie Lassie: Best Friends are Forever. When watching the movie The Magic of Lassie a few years ago, several scenes gave me deja vu; I must have seen that movie in the 1980s but forgotten about it. The Corey Stuart episodes ended in the early 1990's and much to my disappointment they were not returned; thus I vaguely remember only a few I have drawn quite a few pictures of Lassie, when not watching television episodes or films. Here are many of my Lassie and rough collie drawings. In the last few years on the major free-to-air Australian television stations, I have seen Lassie Come Home, Challenge to Lassie and Lassie: Best Friends are Forever. There is a small television channel called Channel 31 (Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane) that occasionally shows Lassie movies. The station has snowy reception, which may be the case for many areas, but it is worth a look if you cannot get these on video. So far the episode compilation movies I know have been on Channel 31 are Peace is our Profession, The Miracle and most recently Lassie Look Homeward. All three were on in the last half of 2003. Check the online Australian TV Guide for your state to find when Lassie is on in Australia. There is no sign of any Lassie television series coming back on... yet! For now I am grateful for videos and DVDs available in the USA, Canada, UK and Australia - without them I would not be able to watch Lassie regularly. For me, as I said once when entering a competition to see a cinema preview of Lassie: Best Friends are Forever, watching Lassie is the next best thing to meeting him. Wednesday, 25 October 2006: I finally took the plunge and bought my first overseas Lassie DVD, this one from the UK with The Voyager and Countdown telemovies (both made up of several Lassie television episodes. The DVD arrived quickly (six days!) and I watched Countdown this evening, thanks to a DVD recorder that could be made region free. It was great to see Countdown again!
